Event name: LAR | COOMINYA QLD
Event summary: Queensland Horse Council Large Animal Rescue Roadshow Information Workshop | COOROY QLD
Event details:
83% of people admit they would risk their own lives to save their animals, no matter how impossibly those animals are trapped. BUT a trapped horse can KILL you!!!
Avoid becoming a statistic AND prevent your trapped horse from being strangled, drowned or dropped, or severely injured by incorrect rescue techniques. Learn what you should do, and not do, if your horse is trapped in mud, floodwater, a ditch or gully, septic tank or swimming pool or an overturned horse float.

Learn how emergency responders should safely use the large surface area and skeletal strength of the horse's torso to prevent injury and increase the chance of a successful rescue.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This workshop is not suitable for children. Large Animal Emergency Rescue by it's very nature, deals with matters which some people will find distressing.  We recommend participants be aged 18+.
